Mr. William Floyd "Bill" Canada, of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life to be with his Lord, Friday, July 27, 2012 at Jackson Madison Co. General Hospital after a short illness.
     Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 30, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Dyer, Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 29, 2012 from 5 - 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home, burial will be in the Mount Olive Cemetery in Dyer.
    Bill was the son of Beulah Mae and George Reed Canada of Dyer, Tennessee, he was born May 1, 1925.  Bill was preceded in death by his wife Mary Lee Canada and his parents George Reed and Beulah Mae Canada, one sister Catherine Ann Morgan, and one brother James Reed Canada.
    Bill graduated from Dyer High School in 1943,enlisted to served in United States Navy, then returning back home to marry and go to work for the Dyer post office for 40 years, retiring in 1986. He was a talented person and a few things he enjoyed, were music, painting, fixing anything broken, and wood working. He was a long time member of the Dyer Cumberland Presbyterian Church, were he served as a deacon, choir member, and a Sunday school teacher.
    Bill is survived by four children Jane Norvell (John), Michael Canada (Delace), Ruth Ann Ramsey (Steve), and Neva Hall (Barry), two sisters Brownie Keathley, and Carolyn Rush. He was a proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. He will be missed, but he longed to be reunited with his dearest love, Mary Lee.  Karnes and Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of William Floyd " Bill " Canada
