Alvin Riggs Jr.

February 19, 1932 – February 4, 2023

Mr. Alvin Riggs Jr., age 90 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on February 4, 2023, at the Dyer Nursing Home.  Graveside services for Mr. Riggs will be conducted on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at 1:00pm at Poplar Grove Cemetery in Dyer, Tennessee with Bro. Stephen Fields officiating. 

Mr. Riggs was born February 19, 1932, in Hati, Missouri; the son of the late Alvin Riggs and Cora Hampton Riggs.  He was retired from the Dyer Fruit Box Factory and was a member of Keely Mill Baptist Church.    

Alvin is survived by a son, Alvin Lester Riggs; a daughter, Susan Redmond (Richard); and twenty-two grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by wife, Joy Evelyn Riggs and his parents.
