Ann Tidwell

Mrs. Ann Reed Tidwell, age 83 of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Graveside services for Mrs. Tidwell will be conducted on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at 4PM in the Rutherford Cemetery with Bro. John Coleman officiating. Interment will immediately follow.

Mrs. Ann was born November 22, 1941, in Ripley, MS; the daughter of the late Robert Robinson & Elisha Allen Reed. She was a homemaker and member of New Bethlehem Baptist Church.

She is survived by children, David Tidwell (Melissa), Chris Tidwell (Melynda), Phyllis Means (John), Johnny Patterson; grandchildren, Lisha (Bryan) Pickard, Ashley (Seth) Childs, Lindsey (RJ) Rayborn, Abbye (Mitch) Edwards, Brady (Blair) Tidwell, Kaleb (Katie) Tidwell; and ten grandchildren. Mrs. Tidwell was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Allen Tidwell (2023).

Pallbearers will be Kaleb Tidwell, Brady Tidwell, Mitch Edwards, Seth Childs, Bryan Pickard, Terry Jones, Steve Clark, and Eddie Watkins. Honorary pallbearers are Barry White, Johnny Patterson, and John Means.

Visitation with family and friends will be held Sunday, September 7, 2025, at the New Bethlehem Baptist Church from 1:30PM-3:30PM. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Ann Reed Tidwell.
