Betty Jean Bryant

Betty Jean Bryant, age 83 of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. Bryant will be conducted on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at 4:00pm in the Rutherford chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Andy Mayfield officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford Cemetery.

She was born July 27, 1939, in Trenton, TN; the daughter of the late Dee & Bertha McIntosh Hickman.  She retired from Kellwood as a sewing quality control operator and was of the Baptist faith, attending the First Baptist Church in Rutherford.

She is survived by two children, Vickie Bryant, Donna Bell (Richard); five grandchildren, Brian Bearden (Lia), Shawna Bearden Alagas (Phillip), Cheryl Freeman (Chad), Ryan Russom (Kim), Kyle Bryant (Lexie); six great grandchildren, Lilly Bearden, Chase Freeman, Mason Buckley, Peyton Buckley, Levi Buckley, and Dylan Bryant. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paris Gene Bryant; son, Greg Bryant; and brother, James Hickman.

The family will receive friends from 2:00pm – 4:00pm on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at the Rutherford chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Betty Jean Bryant.
