Billy Joe Eakes

Mr. Billy Joe Eakes, age 90 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Saturday, October 17, 2020, at Dyer Nursing Home. Graveside services for Mr. Eakes will be conducted on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Rutherford Cemetery with Bro. Ronnie Turner officiating.  

He was born May 4, 1930 in Dyer, TN; the son of the late Joe & Ludie Fry Eakes. He was an employee of the Milan Army Ammunition Plant, and member of the First Baptist Church in Rutherford. He served his country with the US Army.  

He is survived by son, Barry Hall (Neva); daughter in law,  Gail Hall; four grandchildren, Brad Hall, Tiffany Hall Brockington (Josh), Evan Hall (Veronica), Audra Hall Scott (Colton); and two great grandchildren, Colton Brockington, and Gunner Brockington. He was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of many years, Grace Imogene Eakes; his parents; son, Johnny Hall; and all siblings.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Tn. State Veterans Home in Humboldt, or to the Breast Cancer Foundation (Susan G. Komen).
