Billy Gene Sweatt, age 84 of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at NHC Healthcare - Milan. Graveside services for Mr. Sweatt will be conducted on Friday, September 23, 2022, at 11:00am at Walnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Kenton.
He was born September 21, 1938, in Obion County, TN; the son of the late Thomas Roosevelt & Damon Rudd Sweatt. He was a farmer and attended Walnut Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by two children, Terry Sweatt (Jennifer), Debbie Cole (Tracy); four sisters, Jean Evan, Joan Jones, Shirley Birchen, Etta Davis; five grandchildren, Riley Sweatt (Collen), Corey Sweatt, Kaci Sweatt, Courtney Reece (Blake), Bryson Cole; and one great grandson, Cooper James Sweatt. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Anita Dunn Sweatt.
