Candy Flowers

Candace JoAnn Flowers of Dyer, TN passed away from this life at Dyer Health and Rehab following an extended illness and was reunited with our Heavenly Father on December 16, 2021. She was born February 3, 1984, in Union City, TN; the daughter of Keith and Lisa Flowers.  Candy had an outgoing personality and always had a smile on her face. She had a passion for working with children and was employed with local daycares for several years. Candy was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and came to know the Lord from a young age. Survivors include her parents, Keith and Lisa Flowers of Dyer; sister, Amanda (Matt) Poynter and nieces Roslyn and Vivian Poynter all of Burlington, KY; grandmothers, Lois Jackson of Rutherford and Gale Freeman of Milan; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was proceeded in death by her grandfathers, Robert Jackson Sr, Samuel White and Bobby W. Flowers; uncle, Robert Jackson Jr.; and aunt, Pamela Flowers. Special thank you to Dyer Health and Rehab for their many years of love and care and to Caris Healthcare for providing hospice care with grace.

Pallbearers will be Ricky White, Matthew White, Matt Poynter, Daniel Witherspoon, Wesley Witherspoon, and Jim Kirkwood.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at the Rutherford chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home on Sunday, December 19, 2021, with services to follow with Bro. Bryan Morris officiating.  Burial will follow at Rutherford Cemetery. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Ms. Candace “Candy” JoAnn Flowers.
