Carolyn Simpson

Mrs. Carolyn Jean Simpson, age 68 of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Sunday, April 30, 2017, at Jackson Madison County Hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. Simpson will be conducted on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 11:00 am in the Kenton chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Cleek officiating. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery, in Kenton. She was born February 6, 1949 in Union City, Tennessee; the daughter of the late Richard Melvin Turner and Margie Elizabeth Watkins. She was a waitress at the Kenton restaurant, and a member of Kenton Church of God. She is survived by children, Anthony Simpson (Sandy), Shayla Owens (Lane), Trent Simpson; siblings, Barbara White, and Melvin Turner; eight grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Mac Simpson; parents; two brothers, Richard Turner, and Jerry Turner; and one sister, Ruth Coble. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00pm, Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at the Kenton chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home.
