Cheyenne Filkel

Mr. Cheyenne Filkel, age 19 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on November 6, 2015, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Private services were held on Monday, November 9, 2015 in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Rutherford with Bro. Travis Hendrix officiating. He was born October 22, 1996, in Memphis, TN; the son of Brenda Filkel. He was a very special young man who was loved by all who knew him. His smile would brighten the room. Cheyenne is survived by his mother, Brenda Filkel; one sister, Kristy Johnson (J.J.); five brothers, Thomas Shoemaker (Melissa), Joey Henry (Ariel Henderson), Buddy Filkel, Brandon Filkel, and Zion Filkel; two nieces, Alyssa Shoemaker Ward (Jordan) and Olivia Henry; three nephews, T.J. Johnson, Orion Johnson, Spencer Johnson; great-niece, Riley Ward; and two great-nephews, Brayden Ward and Matthew Shoemaker; great-aunt, Peggy Roberts and great-uncle, Tom Williams (Pat). He was preceded in death by a brother, Spencer Filkel.
