Clifton Sherwood Holman February 19, 1924 - December 21, 2015 Clifton Sherwood Holman, age 91 of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on December 21, 2015, at Baptist Hospital, Union City, TN. Funeral services for Mr. Holman will be conducted on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at 3 pm in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home, Rutherford, with Bro. Johnny Witherspoon officiating. Interment will follow in Poplar Grove Cemetery, Newbern, TN. He was born February 19, 1924 in Newbern, TN; the son of the late Arthur Clay and Allie Mae Albritton Holman. He was employed by Goodyear, Union City, TN. He served his country with the US Army. He is survived by a half-brother, Bill Peevyhouse and a half-sister, Bessie Wright. He was preceded in death by: one sister, Dottie Mae Carlin; and, two brothers, James and Finis Holman. The family will receive friends from 1-3 pm on Sunday, December 27, 2015.
