Coy Yergin

Mr. Coy Houston Yergin, age 73 of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at home. Funeral services for Mr. Yergin will be conducted on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Walnut Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Andy Rice officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery, in Kenton, TN. He was born October 9, 1943 in Kenton, TN; the son of the late Joe and Tommie (Davis) Yergin. He was a farmer and landowner. He is survived by special friend, Judy Baker; two children, Barry Yergin (Carla), and Amy Keathley (Barry); siblings, Billy D. Yergin (Ruby), Lela Howard, and Helen Renfrow; three grandchildren, Derek Yergin and fiancée Kennedy, Austin Yergin and wife, Macie, and Allison Keathley and fiancée Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joe Mack Yergin, Aaron Yergin, and Glenn Yergin; and his wife, Betty Yergin. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to the following organizations: Walnut Grove Baptist Church or Cemetery, Baptist Childrens Home, St. Jude or Gideons. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00pm on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the Rutherford chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home.
