Dan Edward King

Dan Edward King, age 72 of Trenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services for Mr. King will be conducted on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Rutherford Chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Marlon Stephens and Bro. Zack McCain officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford Cemetery.

He was born February 21, 1947 in Humboldt; son of the late William Edward King and Ercelle (Johnstone) King. He was an entrepreneur of businesses, owning many pawn shops in the area; was a banker for the Farmers & Merchant Bank; member of First Baptist of Dyer; and served his country in the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Mary King; mother, Ercelle King; three children, Lisa Skinner, Dale King, Tara Jones; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, William Edward "Ed" King; and brother, Rusty King.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Three Ladies Sunday School Class in Rutherford; or to the donors charity of choice.

Visitation with the family of Dan Edward King will be Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Karnes & Son Funeral Home Rutherford Chapel. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Dan Edward King.
