David Allen Sewell, age 58, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at his home. Born on November 3, 1967, David was the son of Jimmie and Frances Sewell who survive.

David was preceded in death by his brother, Tim Sewell.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Sewell; his sons, Rone Sewell (Hannah Patterson) and McCoy Sewell; his stepdaughters, Savannah (John Paul) Pannell, and Rebecca Lee; his sister, Becky (Chris) Dawson; and his cherished grandchildren, Emerson and Harrison Pannell. He is also survived by his nephew, Barrix Dawson, his niece, Ally (Russell) Carlton, and great-niece and great-nephew, Lyla and Lawler Carlton, along with a host of extended family members and dear friends.

David retired from Dyer Foods. He was a devoted fan of the Tennessee Volunteers and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer them on. More than anything, David loved his family and treasured the time spent with those closest to him. He was a faithful man who loved the Lord and lived his life with kindness, strength, and devotion to others.

David will be remembered for his caring heart, his unwavering dedication to his family, and the love he shared so freely with everyone who knew him. His memory will forever be treasured by those blessed to have known and loved him.

Pallbearers are cousins of David.
