Debra Darlene Mays

Mrs. Debra “Babs” Darlene Mays, age 53 of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at home. Funeral services for Mrs. Mays will be conducted on Friday, October 1, 2021, at 10:00 am in the Rutherford chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Darryl Marcle and Bro. Marlon Stephens officiating. Interment will follow in Macedonia Cemetery.

She was born January 1, 1968, in Detroit, MI; the daughter of the late Andrew Paris and Dorothy Barnett.  She retired as a Pharmacy Technician from Walmart and attended First Baptist Church in Rutherford.

She is survived by her loving husband, James Mays; four children, Amanda Paris, Cody Jenkins, Cassie Jenkins, Allyssa Mays; siblings, Robby Thomas, Jerry Thomas, Chella Pegram; and two grandchildren, Jayme Mays, and Hazel Mays. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at the Rutherford chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Debra “Babs” Darlene Mays.
