Dorothy Johnstone

Mrs. Dorothy Johnstone, age 92 of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on September 19, 2015, at Jackson Madison Co. General Hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. Johnstone will be conducted on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Salem United Methodist Church with Bro. Mike Deal officiating. Interment will follow in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery in Rutherford, Tennessee. Mrs. Johnstone was born November 22, 1922 in Gibson Co. Tennessee to the late Cornelious and Georgie Ellen Swink Patterson. She was retired seamstress from the Dyer Pajama Factory. Mrs. Johnstone is survived by one son, James Neal Floyd and wife Patsy; two daughters, Doris Jean Hollandsworth and husband Larry, Joann Tosh and husband Wayne; seven grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husbands, Huellon Floyd, Bro. Halley Glisson, and Forester “FF” Snooty Johnstone, and one grandson Michael Hollandsworth; five brothers, Whitten Patterson, Howard Patterson, Pershing Patterson, Joe Patterson Sr., Walter Patterson; and three sisters, Elsie Norman, Gladys Tosh, Martha Nell Harrington. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 on Monday September 21, 2015 in the chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral in Rutherford.
