Mrs. Edna Earle Tarkington

Mrs. Edna Earle Tarkington, age 86, of Yorkville passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026. Funeral service for Mrs. Tarkington will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, at 10AM in the Chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Dyer, with Adam Leake officiating. Burial will follow in Yorkville Cemetery.

Mrs. Edna Earle Tarkington was born September 13, 1939, to the late Lynn and Margorie Williams Woods. Mrs. Tarkington was a retired employee with the Dyersburg Cotton Mill, and a member of the Yorkville Church of Christ.

Mrs. Tarkington is survived by her husband, Robert Tarkington; her sons, Bobby Stafford and wife Marcia, Terry Stafford and wife Rhonda; her daughters, Rae Carol Marotti, and Judy Smith and husband Steve; six grandchildren, Brian Stafford and wife Becky, Derek Stafford and wife Terri, Corey Stafford and wife Shenna, Brandon Smith and wife Christy, Brad Stafford and wife Haley, Andrea Fagan and husband Dylan; six great grandchildren, Carson Stafford, Austin Stafford, Aly Stafford, Willow Stafford, Brodi Fagan, Connor Stafford.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 5PM – 8PM in the Dyer Chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home.
