Edward Grooms

Edward Earl Grooms Jr., age 65 of Trenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on February 8, 2018, at Humboldt Nursing Home. Funeral services for Mr. Grooms will be conducted on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at First United Pentecostal Church in Humboldt with Rev. Seth Wilkerson officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Mr. Grooms was born October 2, 1952 in Humboldt, Tennessee; the son of the late Edward Earl Sr. and Nima Talley Grooms. Mr. Grooms was a retired Set Up Technician with Wilson Sporting Goods. He served his country with the U.S. National Guard with 10 years of service. Mr. Grooms was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed Antiques, and Auctions, but most of all loving his grandchildren. Mr. Grooms is survived by his wife of 46 years Dorothy Jean Grooms, two daughters, Tammy Grooms Rose and husband Stephen, and Alisha Grooms Britt and husband Bradley, five grandchildren, Stephen Edward Rose, Hannah Lynn Britt, Eli sha Dewayne Britt, Michael Dewayne Britt, Julie Lynn Britt, one sister, Denise Grooms, and two brothers Ronnie Talley, Danny Grooms. He was preceded in death by parents. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 on Friday, February 9, 2018 at First United Pentecostal Church in Humboldt.
