Mrs. Elsie Janette Walker, age 98 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Trenton Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services for Mrs. Walker will be conducted on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 10AM in the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Brent Porterfield officiating, and Harry Tignor, Johnny McCurdy, and Terry Denton speaking. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

Elsie was born September 12, 1927, in Dyer, TN; the daughter of the late L.W. and Willie B. King Barron. She retired from the Brownshoe Company and was a member of Dyer First Methodist Church.

Mrs. Elsie is survived by her brother, Jimmy Barron (Jennifer); niece, Kim Lee; and two great nieces, Texana Pereira and Sierra Moore. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Howard ‘Lum’ Edwards; and husband, Ralph Walker.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 6, 2026, from 5PM – 8PM, at the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Elsie Janette Walker.
