Evelyne Underwood

Ms. Evelyne Ramey Underwood, age 87 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on June 5, 2016, at her residence. Funeral services for Ms. Underwood will be conducted on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Dyer, with Bro. Ed Epperson officiating. Interment will follow in Poplar Grove Cemetery, in Dyer, Tn. She was born November 5, 1928 in Roellen, Tn.; the daughter of Lonnie and Edith Mae Bevis Ramey. She was a retired seamstress from Kellwood and homemaker. She is survived by two sisters, Christine Epperson and Joan Lewellen; three brothers, L. B. Ramey, Marvin Ramey, and Jerry Ramey; two grandchildren, Tina Eddlemon (Dewayne), and Gina Thomas (Tracy); seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Leon Underwood; one daughter, Joy Taylor & son-in-law, Gene Taylor; one brother, Bill Ramey. The family will receive friends from 12pm-2pm on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at the Dyer Chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home.
