Frances Ercelle King

Mrs. Frances Ercelle King, age 99 of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Trenton Healthcare & Rehab. Graveside services for Mrs. King will be conducted on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 2:30PM in the Rutherford Cemetery with Silas Troyer officiating. Interment will immediately follow.

Mrs. Ercelle was born February 25, 1926, in Rutherford, TN; the daughter of the late Richmond & Eunice Mitchell Johnstone. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church of Rutherford.

Mrs. King is survived by three grandchildren, Lisa Skinner (Jonathan), Dale King (Selena), Tara King; five great-grandchildren, Emily Skinner, Michael Skinner (Bethany), Tony Simpson (Ashley), Mitchell Simpson (Nicoletta), Madison King, and Tylor King; eleven great-great grandchildren; and extended family, Tony Guiden (Linda), Sheila McWherter (Jim), Brandon McWherter, and Amy McWherter Davis. She was preceded in death by husband, William Edward King; children, Rusty King, Dan King; sister, Vernell Schuelke; and brother, Benthel Johnstone.

Pallbearers are Tony Guiden, Tony Simpson, Branden McWherter, Clayton Croom, Michael Skinner, and Ayden Simpson.

The family will receive friends from 12PM-2PM on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the Rutherford chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Frances Ercelle King.
