August 17, 1943 – March 27, 2019 Mr. Franklin “Frank” Dale Allen, age 75 of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City. Funeral services for Mr. Allen will be conducted on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the Kenton chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Neil officiating. Interment will follow in North Union Cemetery, in Kenton. He was born August 17, 1943 in Union City, TN; the 7th of 8 children to the late Eunice and Ruby Allen. Frank graduated from the former Mason Hall High School in 1961; served his country in the Tennessee National Guard in Trenton, where he was schooled and trained as their welder; and served as an Obion County Road Commissioner. He was a self employed farmer, in partnership with his brother Thomas. Frank was a lifetime member of the American Angus Association and Polled Hereford Association. He sold bulls in several states, loved caring for his cows, and raised hogs most of his life. He was a member of North Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and past member of Union Grove United Methodist Church. Frank collected toy tractors, cars, trucks and farm animals; and loved his large collection of hunting and farm scene pictures. He loved to laugh, and was quite a comic. All who knew him, including family, friends, community, and caregivers, will remember his love for a good joke or a funny story. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Allen, whom he married in July of 1968; siblings, Jane Sutton, Jack Allen, Betty Sue Tuttle, and Thomas Allen. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Billy Allen, Bob Allen, and Ray Allen. The family will receive friends from 10:30 am till service time on Sunday, March 31, 2019. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Franklin “Frank” Dale Allen.
