Mrs. Frieda Jeanette Thornton, age 92 of Trenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at NHC in Milan. Funeral services for Mrs. Thornton will be conducted on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 12PM in the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Skelton officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

Frieda was born July 1, 1933, in Kenton, TN; the daughter of the late Elbert & Effie Caton Boyd. She retired from Kellwood Mfg. as a seamstress and attended Laneview Baptist Church.

Mrs. Thornton is survived by three children, Phyllis Crenshaw (Gordon), Ronald Thornton (Sally), Mark Thornton; five grandchildren, Brent Alan Thornton, Christopher Todd Crenshaw, Nickolas Andrew Crenshaw, Amber Nicole Tritt, Al Craig Thornton; and two great-grandchildren, Thornton Michael Tritt, and Mykayla Crenshaw. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Daryll Thornton; and son, Michael Lee Thornton.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 10AM until service time at the Dyer chapel. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Frieda Jeanette Thornton.
