Geraldine White Raborn

Mrs. Geraldine White Raborn, age 92 of Jackson, Tennessee, passed away peacefully with her daughters at her bedside on Sunday, April 19, 2026. Graveside services for Mrs. Raborn will be conducted on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 4PM at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Kenton with Bro. Freeman Mahan officiating. Interment will immediately follow.

Gere, as she preferred to be called, was born August 1, 1933, in Kenton, TN; the daughter of the late Onnie & Eunice Duren White. She graduated from Union University where she earned her nursing degree. Gere went on to proudly practice nursing for 51 years knowing it was not necessarily what she did but how she made someone feel that made a real difference in someone’s life. She retired from her nursing career at Pathways in Jackson, TN where she was fondly called “Ms. Gere” and known for her legacy of caring.

Affectionately referred to as “Mama Gere” by her family, she found purpose in making sure all of her loved ones were “okay” each day. Gere was the definition of a proper well-mannered lady who worked, lived, and provided for herself independently the majority of her life, always putting others first. Her medical mission trip to Nicaragua was one of her most proud achievements. Gere was of the Church of Christ faith.

Mrs. Raborn is survived by two daughters, Vanessa Barron, and Patty Hall (David); three grandchildren, Matt Hall, Candace Barron Wood, Chris Barron; seven great-grandchildren, Courtney Hall Kenner (Trevor), Bryson Wood, Desiree Mosier, Hunter Hall, Kaylee Hall, Brennan Wood and Brigham Wood; three great-great grandchildren, with two on the way. She was preceded in death by husband, Frank Raborn; and brother, Odell White.

The family of Mrs. Raborn would like extend a very special thank you to all of those who cared for Mrs. Raborn during her most recent stay at Medina Health and Rehab.
