Glenda Alice King

Glenda Alice King, age 82, formally of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Monday, February 28, 2022, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Graveside services for Ms. King will be conducted on Friday, March 4, 2022, at 2:00pm at Oakwood Cemetery with Pastor Randy Mutter officiating, with Rev. Jim Calhoun assisting. Interment will follow immediately afterwards.

She was born March 26, 1939, in Dyer, TN; the daughter of the late Clarence & Mable Thomason King.  She retired from Dyer Motor Company after 32 years of service as an office manager.  Glenda was a member of Dyer First United Methodist Church, and graduated as Salutatorian, Class of 1957, from Dyer High School.  

She is survived by sister, Clarice Hamlett of Texarkana, TX. She was preceded in death by half-brother, Murry Goad; and half-sister, Adele Goad King.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorials be made to Dyer First United Methodist Church.
