Harrel Dewaine Swindle

Harrel Dewaine Swindle, a proud veteran of the Army, age 80 of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away peacefully from this life on Monday, December 20, 2021, at home, surrounded by his family. Graveside services for Mr. Swindle will be conducted on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at 2:00pm at Rutherford Cemetery with Bro. Dillard Lykins officiating.  

He was born August 23, 1941, in Trimble, TN; the son of the late Thomas & Ada Bell Coble Swindle. He married Linda Dillard Swindle on August 14, 1964, and had 57 wonderful years together. He retired as a Branch Manager at Gibson Farmers Co-op with 47 years.  He had a love for people and his community, always lending a helping hand. He was incredibly involved in his children and grandchildren's lives. You could see him attending all his grandchildren’s sporting events as their biggest fans. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, as well. Harrel was a deacon at Northern's Chapel Baptist Church.  He served his country with the US Army.  

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Dillard Swindle; children, Lorrie Barton (Sid), Gina Hudson (Paul); sister, Annette Ary; grandchildren, Lorna Hudson Bethel (Adam), Sarah Kate Coday Pickard (Matthew), Hunter Hudson, Kyle Coday, and Brady Barton. He was preceded in death by sisters, Linda Arnold, and Kay McCord.
