Howard Jacobs

Mr. Howard Thomas Jacobs, age 97 of Trenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Monday, November 16, 2015, at the Veterans Hospital in Memphis. Funeral services for Mr. Jacobs will be conducted on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Rutherford with Bro. Robert Norfork officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Methodist Church Cemetery in Rutherford. He was born May 23, 1918 in Hickman, Kentucky; the son of the late Zeb and Bessie Spry Jacobs. He was retired from the auto industry as a salesman a member of the Church of Jesus Christ. He served his country with the US Army. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Tosh Jacobs; six children, Joe Thomas Jacobs, Howard Thomas Jacobs, Jr., Anna Marie Williams, Dorothy Ennis, and Patricia Choate; step-children, Jenna Brand, Mary Ricketts, Michael Wallsmith, James Pipkin; and 14 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Marshall Jacobs, J.T. Jacobs, Dorothy Crews, Joe Jacobs, and Virginia Dale Climer. The family will receive friends from 5-8pm on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Rutherford.
