Ida Luella (Miller) Troyer, age 86 years, 3 months, and 3 days went to her eternal reward on Tuesday evening, March 31, 2026. She was born to Abraham E. and Fannie M. Miller on December 28, 1939, in Holmes County, Ohio.
Ida was married to Aaron E. Troyer, son of Emmanuel A. and Ada Miller Troyer, on October 7, 1961. They enjoyed 64 years of marriage until his death on December 5, 2021. She was a member at Berea Mennonite Church, Rutherford, TN.
She will be missed by 6 daughters and 3 sons: Hannah & Titus Graber of Torrington, WY; Doreas & Charles Diller of Smithville, TN; Rachel & Mose Miller of Crossville, TN; Silas & Kathryn Troyer of Rutherford, TN; Priscilla & John Yoder of Chihuahua, Mexico; Orpha & Marlin Wagler of Paris, TN; Jesse & Malinda Troyer of Crossville, TN; Jason & Holly Troyer of Pulaski, TN; and Sharon & Norman Miller of Crossville, TN. Along with 45 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; sister, Irma Miller of Berlin, OH; 2 sister-in-law: Tena Miller of Dundee, OH, and Mattie Lowry of Hagerstown, MD; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Mabel Miller, Ada Beachy, Abe Miller, Joseph Miller, John Miller, David Miller, and Sarah Lapp.
She accepted Christ as her Saviour by the influence of the George R. Brunk revival meetings and passionately lived her life in service to her creator.
She and Dad had a heart for missions and traveled to different countries to support them.
One of her top priorities was interpersonal relationships with her children, grandchildren, neighbors, relatives, and friends far and near. She loved making phone calls, sending cards, and always ready to make good friends.
We treasure the memories of her love of music, being a prayer warrior, and living life to the fullest.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 2 to 5pm at the West Green Hill Mennonite Church, 8408 West Green Hill Rd., Smithville, TN 37166. A second visitation will be held Friday, April 3, 2026, from 2 to 4pm, and 6 to 8pm, at the Rutherford Mennonite Church, 445 China Grove Rd., Rutherford, TN 38369.
Her funeral service will be held Saturday morning at 10am at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
