Iva Ruth Hanks October 13th, 1923 - September 25th, 2018 Iva Ruth Hanks age 94 of Union City , Tennessee, passed away from this life on Tuesday, September 25th, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Union City. Funeral services for Mrs. Hanks will be conducted on Saturday, September 29th, 2018 at 12:00 pm at the Karnes & Son Funeral Home - Kenton Chapel with Bro. Darrell Morgan and Bro. Mickey Hanks officiating. Interment will follow in New Salem Cemetery, in Mason Hall, Tennessee. She was born October 13th, 1923 in Mason Hall , Tennessee; the daughter of Alvie and Lura (Elks) Reed . She was a factory worker at Trimble Garment Factory, and the oldest member of New Salem Baptist Church. She is survived by children, Allen Hanks Sr. and wife Rebecca, Richard Hanks and wife Beverly; grandchildren, Allen Hanks Jr., and Beth Brinkley; and one great grandchild, Mason Brinkley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Junior Hanks; her parents; and siblings. The family will receive friends from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm, Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Karnes & Son Funeral Home at the Kenton Chapel .
