J W Edwards

JW Edwards, born October 18, 1929 in Dyer, TN, to Jesse Wydel and Mattie Edwards died March 9, 2020. JW proudly served four years in the Navy, including in the Korean War. He married Helen Sue Markham of Dyer, TN in May 1953 and they had two sons, Tracy and Steven. JW and Helen lived and worked in Washington D.C. for two years after getting married. JW then spent the remainder of his career at the Milan Arsenal where he worked in and oversaw the fuel division. JW gave back to his community, serving as a Dyer alderman for eight years, deacon at First Baptist Church, school board director and commissioner of the youth baseball league. JW enjoyed life: being with family, boating on the lake, driving to Reelfoot and riding his lawn mower. JW is survived by his two sons Tracy married to Fabiola and Steven married to Jennifer and grandchildren, Elena and David. JW is preceded by his brother Howard and sisters: Evelyn, Frances and Emma.
