James Jones

Mr. James Thomas Jones, age 75 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on August 1, 2016, at home. Funeral services for Mr. Jones will be conducted on Tuesday, August 2, at 12:00pm in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Dyer, with Bro. Stephen Fields and Bro. Charles Copeland officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, in Dyer. He was born February 17, 1941 in Jackson, Tn.; the son of Tommy Lee and Ethel Thornton Jones. He was a Carpenter for Henson Construction. He is survived by his wife, Linda Jones; four children, Randy Jones, Twyla Duncan, Tonya Fields, and Timothy Jones; six grandchildren, Carrie Duncan, Chad London, Shelby Duncan, Lindsey Riley, Christopher Jones, and Kelsey Fields; three great grandchildren, Chase London, Drake Jones, and Carson London. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Frances and Pauline Jones; one brother, Junior L. (Pickle) Jones; and one grandson, Jonathan Jones. The family will receive friends from 10:00am-12:00pm on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Dyer. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. James Jones.
