James Mark Paschall

December 30, 1956 — September 11, 2023

Kenton

James Mark Paschall, 66, stepped into eternity on September 11, 2023, surrounded by his family, showered in love, and free from pain. He was born December 30, 1956, to Max and Edith “Billie” Paschall which saved everyone money over the years by combining Christmas and birthday presents into one.

Mark graduated from Rutherford High School, Class of 1975. Three years later he married Ann Trimm on August 11. To that union were born three wonderful children who have been a tremendous blessing to their parents (one of those children is writing this if you haven’t figured that out yet).

Mark was a hard worker. He was a farmer at heart, working with his father and other family members for many years. After farming, he worked at Plastech (formally Bryan Custom Plastics) beginning as a job setter and working his way up to shipping and receiving supervisor. He also did carpentry work on the side. When Plastech closed, Mark transitioned to truck driving, which he loved, especially the chicken run to Louisiana (if you know, you know).

Mark had a lot of different hobbies through the years, but his favorite was riding his motorcycle. He was a fixer of many things and a breaker of a few things (two of his parents’ cars were victims; one was wrapped around a stump in a field, and another was parked in the river).

Later in life, Mark had the joy of meeting Ann Green. The love that these two had for one another was evident, and she was by his side for over 12 years. His children are forever grateful that she came into his life and for the way in which she loved and cared for him during his fight with cancer (you are family now, whether you like it or not).

Mark will be remembered for always having a smile, lending a helping hand, and showing love to those around him. He did not lose his battle with cancer. Instead, as a faithful Christian, he won and gained his reward.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Paschall. He is survived by his partner-in-crime, Ann Green; his son, Justin (Micah); two daughters, Kelia (Wesley) Smith and Meeka (Dustin) Warren; seven grandchildren, Reagan and Harrison Paschall, Avery and Kinsley Smith, Drake, Mallory, and Mia Warren; three sisters, Janice (Thomas) Gibson, Phylis Clemenz, and Brenda Renner. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws and outlaws, cousins, and devoted friends.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations may be made to the Memphis School of Preaching (3950 Forest Hill-Irene Rd., Memphis TN 38125), Potter Children’s Home (2350 Nashville Rd., Bowling Green, KY 42101.
