Janet Leigh Tharpe

Mrs. Janet Leigh Tharpe, age 67 of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Friday, June 18, 2021, at home. Graveside services for Mrs. Tharpe will be conducted on Monday, June 21, 2021, at 1:30 pm in the Rutherford Cemetery with Bro. Brent Smith officiating. Interment will follow immediately afterwards.

She was born May 13, 1954, in Athens, Alabama; the daughter of the late Elvin & Katherine Clanton Stoffregene.  She was an LPN for Trenton Healthcare until her retirement, and attended Dyer Church of Christ.

She is survived by her loving husband, Grady Lynn Tharpe; two sisters, Tracy Smith, Joyce Varnell; and three grandchildren, Ashlynn Tharpe, Aiden Tharpe, and Lucas Jones.   She was preceded in death by son, Josh Tharpe.
