Jeannie “Sissy” Gammons Green

Mrs. Jeannie “Sissy” Gammons Green, age 63 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Sunday, July 26, 2020, at home. Funeral services for Mrs. Green will be conducted on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at 2:00 pm in the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Griers Chapel Cemetery.

She was born May 30, 1957 in Martin, TN; the daughter of the late Robert Glynn Gammons, and Joyce Ann Gammons. She was an assembly line worker at Eaton Corporation before retiring and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by mother, Joyce Gammons; two children, Stacy Petty, Brian Cooper; siblings, David Gammons (Belinda), Tony Gammons (Sandra), Cynthia Todd, Jeff Gammons (Joie); sister in law, Debra Gammons; nephews, Jason Gammons, Blake Gammons; nieces, Heather Marie Anderson, Amber Gammons, Ashley Lemings, Loretta Brackett, Roxey Powell; grandchildren, Raven Brooke Sisco, Lacey Michelle Zarecor, Emily Cooper, Harley Rae Petty, Peyton Douglas Cooper, Landon Shane Cooper; and great grandchildren, Hudson Creed Sisco, Henley Blake Sisco, Quinn McKate Zarecor. She was preceded in death by father, Robert Glynn Gammons; grandparents, Luther Franklin Gammons, Harmen Hundley, Mary Modean Scott; brothers, Jamie Wilson Gammons, Edward Glynn Gammons, Glynn Dale Gammons; uncles, Tommy Hundley, Finis (Kerry) Hundley; and nephew, J.D. Gammons.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Jeannie “Sissy” Gammons Green.
