Jerry Legg

Bro. Jerry Legg, age 79 of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Thursday, November 19, 2015, at his home. Funeral services for Bro. Legg will be conducted on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Dyer First Baptist Church with Bro. Dewayne Goodgine and Bro. Rodger Stacey officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Dyer. He was born May 24, 1936 in Knoxville, Tennessee; the son of the late Edward and Lucy Clower Legg. He served as Pastor Emeritus of the Dyer First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Betty Moore Legg, two daughters, Deanna Sawyers and Jeannine Gammons; five grandchildren, two brothers, Ken Legg and Gayle Legg; one sister, Cathy Madgett. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elaine Legg and his parents. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm on Friday, November 20, 2015 in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home of Dyer. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Bro. Jerry Walton Legg.
