Jimmy Wayne Cooper

Jimmy Wayne Cooper, age 71 of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Select Specialty Hospital – West Tennessee. Funeral services for Mr. Cooper will be conducted on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at 2PM in the Rutherford chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in Bethpage Baptist Church Cemetery in Kenton.

He was born November 16, 1952, in Selmer, TN; the son of the late Wayne & Thelma (Hurst) Cooper. He retired from the Gibson County School System and was a member of Bethpage Baptist Church.

Jimmy is survived by son, Jonathan Cooper (Billie Carol); two brothers, Roger Cooper, Douglas Cooper; and four grandchildren, Chyenne Pride, Candace Cooper, Brayden Cooper, and Austin Cooper. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Anne (Bradley) Cooper.

The family will receive friends from 11:30AM-2PM on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at the Rutherford chapel. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Jimmy Wayne Cooper.
