John Kevin Schweich

John Kevin Schweich, 68, of Dyer passed into his eternal heavenly home on February 4 at the Memphis VA Hospital.

John lived in Dyer, but was born in Farmington, Minn.  He grew up on a farm along with his 12 siblings. His life took him across the country, living in several states from coast to coast- serving in the Army, landscaper, photographer, carpenter, craftsman, beloved Dad and Grandpa.

John was preceded in death by his father, Bernard P. Schweich; his mother, Elizabeth A. Schweich; and son, John ‘Johnny’ Schweich.  He is survived by his children, Jake (Heather) Schweich, Alyssa Schweich, Luke (Lisa) Schweich, and Dominic (Amber) Schweich; his grandsons, Aedyn, Gavin, Jaron, Declan, Levi, Kallen, and Zion; his siblings, Tom, Ann, Charlie, Ellen, Rick, Betsy, Bill, Mike, Mary, Cathy, Joanie, and Paul; and many relatives, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 3 on Saturday, Feb. 15, at Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Dyer.
