Joyce Sorrell

Mrs. Mary Joyce Sorrell, age 94 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on August 18, 2021, at Dyer Nursing Home. Graveside services for Mrs. Sorrell will be conducted on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Cool Springs Cemetery.

She was born September 8, 1926, in Dyer, TN; the daughter of the late Claude Winnon & Lattie Mae Fletcher McKnight. She retired from Kellwood and was a member of the Church of God International.

She is survived by six children, Sarah Faye Sorrell, Opal Janette Gable, Lattie Ann Bisbee, Harry Clyde “Jack” English, Denise Marie English, Mary Dell Sorrell Reynolds; fifteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and twenty great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Odell Sorrell; siblings, William Luther McKnight, Enos Kay McKnight, and Hazel Mae Elliott.
