Kathy Gant

Mrs. Kathy Ann Gant, age 60 of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on December 2, 2016. Funeral services for Mrs. Gant will be conducted on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Rutherford with Bro. Ben Lownsdale officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford Cemetery. Mrs. Kathy was born December 7, 1955 in Dyersburg, Tennessee; the daughter of the late Jim Bo and Katherine Stanfield Hardin. Mrs. Kathy was a loving mother and grandmother, and a retail sale manager for Dollar General in Newbern. Mrs. Kathy was a member of the Rutherford First Baptist Church. Mrs. Kathy is survived by her daughters, Maigon Shanklin and husband Bradley, and Stephanie Foret and husband Darrell, three grandchildren, Shelby, McKenzie, and Carter, one sister, Tommie Sue Keathley, and one brother, Jimmy Dale Hardin. Mrs. Kathy was preceded in death by parents. The family will receive friends from Sunday, December 4, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Rutherford.
