Kathy Dawn Smith

Kathy Dawn Smith, age 64 of Dyer, Tennessee passed away from this life on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at Western Baptist Hospital - Paducah. Graveside services for Mrs. Smith will be conducted on Friday, March 19, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Oakwood Cemetery with Bro. Jason Williams officiating.  

She was born July 25, 1956 in Dyer, TN; the daughter of the late Vernon & Elsie Faye Patterson Flowers Jr.  She was City Recorder for the Town of Rutherford and attended Poplar Grove Methodist Church.

She is survived by three children, Michele Hobbs (Bobby Joe), Anthony Smith (Chonda), Alicia Cox (Jonathan); two sisters, Patsy Johnstone, Lisa White; four grandchildren, Triston Hobbs, Dallas Combs, Grayson Smith, Graylee Cox; and special friend, Johnny Ragsdale, of 28 years. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm on Friday, March 19, 2021 at Oakwood Cemetery. Masks and social distancing will be required as mandated by the CDC.  Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Kathy Dawn Smith.
