Mr. Kenneth Ray Whitley, age 73 of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Milan General Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Whitley will be conducted on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at 3PM in the Rutherford chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in North Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Kenneth was born January 24, 1953, in Rutherford, TN; the son of the late Ray Houston & Nancy Lou Jewell Whitley. He worked at Standard Welder before his retirement, then started making hand-crafted jewelry and leather work. Kenneth was a member of North Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by two children, Robin McKinney, Kenneth Ray Whitley Jr.; two brothers, Robert Whitley, Terry Whitley; six grandchildren, Jacob McKinney, Akyra McKinney, Cayden McKinney, Samantha Whitley, Houston Whitley, Chad Whitley; and one great-grandchild, Malachi Johnson.

Visitation with family and friends will be held Sunday, August 16, 2026, from 1PM until service time in the Rutherford chapel. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Kenneth Ray Whitley.
