Leland Verdell Starnes

Leland Starnes, age 92 of Trenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Sunday, May 2, 2021, at his residence. Graveside services for Mr. Starnes will be conducted on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at 3:00 PM at Sunnyside Cemetery.

He was born July 25, 1928 in Mathiston, Mississippi; the son of the late Clark and Erma Breland Starnes. He was employed by Texas Gas.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marjorie Starnes; two daughters, Pam Page (James) and Kae Schleifer; one son, Ralph Starnes; four grandchildren, Heidi Page Stockdale, Jamie Page, Dudley Schleifer, and Megan Starnes Knapek; and three great grandchildren, Mason Hayes, Jake Hayes, and Gracie Schleifer. He was preceded in death by his parents.
