Linar Lee Collins

Linar Lee Collins, age 99 of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, at Bright Glade Health & Rehab in Memphis.  Graveside services for Mrs. Collins will be conducted on Saturday, September 28 at 11:30 AM at Rutherford Cemetery with Rev. George Carey officiating. Interment will follow immediately after.

Mrs. Collins was born February 7, 1920 in Rutherford; daughter of the late James Edward McCollum and the late Nita (Harrington) McCollum. She was an inspector at Kellwood Clothing Mfg., and member of Rutherford First Methodist Church.

She is survived by two children, Jerry Collins (Teresita), Nita Carey (George); five grandchildren, Bill Collins (Linda), Kevin Collins (Tina), Trevor Carey, Lyle Carey (Kelly), Julie Carey; thirteen great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Collins; son, Joel Collins; sister, Opal McCollum Belew; niece, Delores Belew Shaw; and her parents.

Visitation with the family of Linar Lee Collins will be Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Karnes & Son Funeral Home Rutherford Chapel. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Linar Lee Collins.
