Mrs. Linda Schoolfield Elam, age 54 of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Monday, March 6, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City. Funeral services for Mrs. Elam will be conducted on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Kenton with Bro. Mickey Hanks officiating. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery, in Kenton. She was born January 3, 1963 in Chicago, Ill.; the daughter of John and Avonia “Doodle” Ashmore Schoolfield. She was a Personal Assistant at the office of State Representative Bill Sanderson. She is survived by her parents, John and Avonia “Doodle” Schoolfield; son, John South Wilson (Meagen); and three grandchildren, Emery Pearl Wilson, Zayden Howard, and Hadlee Duncan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Marksberry. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00pm on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at the Kenton Chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home .
