Lorene Maxwell

Mrs. Lorene Duke Maxwell, age 97 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Friday, January 22, 2016, at Dyer Nursing Home. Graveside services for Mrs. Maxwell will be conducted on Monday, January 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Dyer, with Mark Maxwell officiating. Mrs. Maxwell was born May 18, 1918 in Henderson Co. Tn.; the daughter of the late James Carless and Maude Wilkens Duke. Mrs. Maxwell was a loving mother, and homemaker. Mrs. Maxwell is survived by two children Jerry (Becky Jo) and Judy (Harold), three grandchildren, Mark, Tonya, and Paul Ray, and five great–grandchildren, two brothers, Guy Loyce Duke, and Edward Carman Duke. Mrs. Maxwell had a good life, raised by good Christian loving parents, wonderful brothers, and sisters. The most wonderful husband God gave to her, and two wonderful children, Guy gave her, and three wonderful grandchildren, what more could she have asked for, and great-grandchildren, host of nieces and nephews, wonderful in laws, Guy’s family were all the best and precious to her, and love to you all. The family will receive friends from 4:30 – 7:00 Sunday, January 24, 2016 in the chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Dyer.
