Lou Jean Austin November 1st, 1928 - September 27th, 2018 Mrs. Lou Jean Austin age 89 of Dyer , Tennessee, passed away from this life on Thursday, September 27th, 2018, at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Austin will be conducted on Sunday, September 30th, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Karnes & Son Funeral Home - Dyer Chapel. Interment will follow in Yorkville Cemetery, in Yorkville, Tennessee. She was born November 1st, 1928 in Dyer , Tennessee; the daughter of Earl and Sadie (Horner) Williams. She was a teacher at Yorkville School and worked at the Yorkville Bank. She is survived by nieces and nephews, Linda Cozart (Mike), Mike Lewis (Pam), David Benton (Maria), Richard Hartsfield (Linda); one sister, Freda Benton; great niece and great nephew, Josh Sample (Sarah), Jamie Tignor (Clint), and great - great nieces, Bailey Sample and Kiley Sample . She was preceded in death by her husband, James Austin; one sister, Joan Lewis; nephew, Tim Benton; and her parents. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Saturday, September 29th, 2018 at Karnes & Son Funeral Home - Dyer Chapel.
