Margaret Skinner

Margaret Estell Markham Skinner, age 94 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Friday, August 11, 2017, at Milan General Hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. Skinner will be conducted on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Dyer, with Bro. Randy Mutter officiating. Interment will follow in Griers Chapel Cemetery, Dyer, Tennessee. Mrs. Skinner was born January 2, 1923 in Gibson Co. Tennessee; the daughter of the late Charles and Clara Judy Markham. Mrs. Skinner was a retired employee of the Brown Shoe Company, and a member of the Griers Chapel Methodist Church. Mrs. Skinner was an avid card player, along with attending Church and Social events, she was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great - great grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Mrs. Skinner is survived by two daughters, Melinda Thornton, Mary Ann Karp; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; and twenty-eight great–great grandchildren. Mrs. Skinner was preceded in death by her first husband R.C. Crocker; second husband Raymond Skinner; two daughters Martha Sumner, and Melba Jewell; and her parents. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 14, 2017 in the chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Dyer.
