Marie Elizabeth Echols

Marie Elizabeth Echols, age 87 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at NHC Healthcare in Milan. Funeral services for Mrs. Echols will be conducted on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Dr. Ray Carroll officiating. Interment will follow in Poplar Grove Cemetery.

She was born November 29, 1933; the daughter of the late Roy & Ella Mae Johnson.  She worked as a secretary, on all the different  bases her husband, Glenn Echols, was stationed; before moving to Dyer and becoming a homemaker. Mrs. Echols was of the Baptist faith.  

She is survived by special friend and caregiver, Jennifer Hughley; two sons, Monte Echols and Brian Echols.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thurman Glenn Echols; and daughter, Theda Gleniece Young.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Marie Elizabeth Echols.
