She was born on January 13, 1948, to Charlie Newman Cooper and Jennie Lee Cooper, both of whom preceded her in death. Marilyn was also overjoyed to welcome her great-grandchildren: Avery Wyrick, Tucker Wyrick, Ryleigh Wyrick, Elam Bailey, Raelynn Reed, and Millie Reed, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

As a faithful member of the Church of Christ in Dyer, Marilyn's life was deeply guided by her faith, which she practiced daily through acts of kindness, generosity, and a spirit of love. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and served her community with humility and grace. Her quiet strength and gentle faith left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
