Mrs. Marilyn Joyce Bailey McMackin, age 75 of Kenton, Tennessee, quietly slipped away from this life on December 29, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City with her family around her. Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. McMackin will be conducted on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 12:00 pm at the Kenton Church of God with Bro. Gary Burkacki and Bro. Dennis Cleek officiating. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery, Kenton, Tennessee. Mrs. Joyce McMackin was born August 13, 1942 in Dyer, Tennessee; the daughter of the late Frank Maynard and Jeraldine Pentecost Bailey was a Retired Bookkeeper with C.W. Sanderson Hardware, and Kenton Drug Store. She was also a housewife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed loving her family, and spoiling her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, along with enjoying her rose garden, and flower gardens. Mrs. Joyce McMackin is survived by her husband of 56 years, Rodney McMackin; one son, Mac McMackin and wife Tina; one daughter, Tracye Fender and husband Brian; daughter-in-law, Tammy McMackin; seven grandchildren, Brandon Fender, Amanda Pope, Chad McMackin, Ryan McMackin, Colton McMackin, Camron McMackin, Carter McMackin, and four great–grandchildren, Jon Grady Carroll, Bennett Pope, Arly Jo Pope, and Bailey Gray McMackin; one brother, Frank Bailey and wife Karen. She was preceded in death by one son, Scott McMackin and her parents, Maynard and Jeri Bailey. The family will receive friends from 10am until service time at 12 noon on Saturday, January 6, 2018.
