Mrs. Martha Katheryn Blankenship, age 83 of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the Weakley County Nursing Home. Cremation services are under the care of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. A private burial service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Blankenship was born November 5, 1942, in Martin, TN; the daughter of the late Benthal & Martha Belew. She was a homemaker and attended Rutherford First Baptist Church.

She is survived by husband, Bob Blakenship; daughter, Laurie White; brother, Larry Belew (Wanda); two grandchildren, Matthew Hollis (Jodie), Elizabeth Peay (Brian); and four great-grandchildren, Kate Hollis, Jack Hollis, Sara Peay, and Emily Peay. She was preceded in death by son, Chad Blakenship; and brother, Warner Belew.
